Voir Art de Fletcher is happy to announce the premiere first Friday art show at Flat 12 Brewery downtown from 12-9 on Friday, August 3rd 2012. Local artists Andrew Leonberger and Izaak Hayes will be showcasing a variety of new works themed around nature, presented alongside live Bonsai from local Indianapolis Bonsai Society Members and works from Andrew Severns, J Chin and more.
Leonberger will be presenting new macro photography and wood sculptures themed around naturalistic elements including shells and insects; Hayes will show new paintings rendered with organic linework that aim to capture the complex and sometimes divine elements in nature, while Severns will be presenting new works including wooden wall mounted sculptures revealing the patterns behind microscopic molecular formations. In addition, this will be the first time Flat 12 has participated in a First Friday show.
Among the uncultured, there lies the culture. Nicholas Love (Indianapolis, IN) has teamed up with friend and fellow artist, Jared Hamilton, to present "Symphony of Sight." Love is presenting works inspired by music, media, culture and 'the strange facets of life'. A colorful soundtrack will be provided by DJ Kodama courtesy of IndyMojo. With "Symphony of Sight", Love aims to "bind the worlds of audible & visual art in one infused setting."
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

First Friday Art Show with Poetry Reading and live DJs
Presenting mixed medium artist Andrew Leonberger in 'Deep Thought'. An art exhibit designed to stimulate introspection and reflection. The show will include an open mic poetry reading hosted by Bobby Verses, with live DJ's afterwards.
Herron Graduate Andrew Leonberger is not only a fine artist but also a poet. "I like working with mix mediums, I try to push atmosphere into my work. I also play with Light and Shadows. I experiment using unusual combinations of painting techniques. I draw a lot of my inspiration from Nature and My Life experiences. I am adventurous in both my life and my art."
Of his philosophy he says quite simply, "Art is what you make it, Life is what you live."
Photos and videos of the event will be posted on our Blog
Our purpose is to provide an atmosphere where the artist and designer can creatively come together to meld worlds. These two worlds have always stood side by side under the umbrella of art. With this show, we will see the two worlds collide, presenting a spectrum across the board of talented artists and designers.
